A meeting of the District Grievance Redressal Committee was held under the chairmanship of Minister of State Krishna Kumar Bedi in the auditorium of the District Mini Secretariat. In which out of total 16 complaints, seven complaints were resolved and nine complaints were postponed till the next meeting.
On Monday, the chairman of the committee, Minister of State, Minister Krishna Kumar Bedi reached the meeting of the District Grievance Redressal Committee in the auditorium of the Mini Secretariat. On this occasion, City MLA Ghanshyam Das Arora, Congress MLA from Sadhaura Renu Bala, BJP District President Rajesh Sapra also arrived with him. During the meeting, during the hearing of 16 complainants, nine complaints were adjourned till the next meeting. Regarding the complaints of the victims, Minister Krishna Kumar Bedi took a strict decision on the negligence of the officers and also decided to form a committee to investigate three complaints and register a case against Punjab National Bank in one complaint.
Under these cases, a case of laying drinking water pipe inside the sewerage pipeline in Sunder Vihar Colony came to light. On which the minister gave instructions to take action against the junior engineer and sub-divisional officer of the department. At the same time, when an electricity bill of Rs 4 lakh 30 thousand was received at the house of a labourer, the officials of the electricity department reprimanded him for not giving a correct answer and gave instructions for investigation and postponed the matter till the next meeting. Similarly, the Minister of State decided to inform the District Superintendent of Police to file a case against the bank for not depositing Rs 1.5 lakh given by another complainant, Bhupendra Singh, resident of Kapurikalan, Bilaspur, against the Punjab National Bank for not depositing it in his account. He said that the officers of the department are sitting to serve the public. Officials will not be spared if they exploit and harass the public. He said that any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in the Nayab government.
