Hisar, 25 November (Hissar). NCC week was celebrated by the cadets of NCC department of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology. Under this, cadets of the NCC department of the university visited Talwandi Rana Ashram ‘Bhik Nahin Kitab Do’. Cadets of 3rd Haryana Girls Battalion NCC and 1st Haryana Air Squadron participated in it.
NCC Coordinator Prof. Rajiv Kumar told on Monday that the main objective of this event is to connect the cadets with the importance of social service and inclusivity. He told that the visit to the ashram was done under the guidance of NCC instructor Manisha Payal. NCC Instructor Manisha Payal said that the main objective of taking the cadets to the Ashram was to introduce the cadets to those parts of the society which are unseen. During this, the cadets interacted with the children of the ashram and saw their lives closely. During this, the cadets helped the children at their level by giving them clothes, food etc.
Ashram Founder Anu Chiniya shared every aspect of her life from the beginning till now with the cadets. He told that when I saw a child begging, I felt pain in my mind and was surprised that in our country India, which is called the golden bird, children fill their stomach by begging. From that very day I decided in my mind that I will not let these children beg anymore. Today, as a result of his efforts, thousands of children have become capable of earning good employment by getting school and college education and coming into the mainstream of society. During this, 47 cadets like Senior Under Officer Sanjana, Cadet Warrant Officer Yaman, Corporal Komal, Khushi, Mehak, Preeti, Govind etc. were present.
