Lucknow, 25 November (HS). Yogi government is running various programs across the state regarding women’s safety, respect and empowerment. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi, Mission Shakti campaign is being run continuously across the state. In such a situation, under Mission Shakti Phase-Five, a pink scooter rally was taken out by the girl students of Lucknow University and Lucknow Police on Monday.
Through the rally, a message was given to spread awareness about women’s safety across the state. The rally was flagged off by the VC and Mission Shakti Nodal Officer. More than 250 pink scooties participated in the rally.
The aim is to spread awareness among people about women safety
Lucknow University VC Alok Rai said that as per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Monday, on the Founder’s Day of Lucknow University, more than 250 pink scooters started a rally with the help of Lucknow Police from Gate Number Three of the University under Mission Shakti Phase-Five. It was done, in which hundreds of daughters and women constables participated.
Its main objective is to spread awareness among the people about women safety across the state. Dr. Manini Srivastava, Nodal Officer of University Mission Shakti, said that today the women of the state are feeling empowered and safe due to CM Yogi Adityanath’s ‘Mission Shakti’ campaign.
He told that the rally was started at 9 am, which ended at 10:30 am at 1090 intersection via Hanuman Temple at Hanuman Setu, Hazratganj intersection, Governor House, Loreto intersection. The VC said that the Pink Scooty Rally is part of Mission Shakti Abhiyan, which focuses on promoting safety, respect and self-reliance of women. The VC stressed the need for collective efforts between educational institutions, police department and the community for women empowerment.
The message given through the rally was to strengthen the objectives of Mission Shakti.
A large number of students, deans, heads of departments and faculty members participated in the Mission Shakti Pink Scooty Rally on bikes and cars. Women policemen participated on pink scooters and SUVs. Everyone together gave the message of increasing awareness and strengthening the objectives of Mission Shakti.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Manuka Khanna highlighted the important role of educational institutions in spreading awareness about women’s rights and responsibilities.
Mission Shakti Nodal Officer of the University, Dr. Manini Srivastava said that Lucknow University is working in various fields outside the campus. Along with this, along with Lucknow Police, it is spreading the message that we all will have to make efforts together to take the Mission Shakti movement forward. This rally is also a part of that.
