This year during the Diwali holidays, 61 lakh 70 thousand 716 people visited 16 tourist attractions and pilgrimage sites of Gujarat in a period of 20 days from 26 October to 15 November 2024. During this period famous attractions and pilgrimage sites of Gujarat like Statue of Unity, Atal Bridge, Riverfront Flower Park, Kankaria Lake, Pavagadh Temple, Ambaji Temple, Girnar Ropeway, Science City, Vadnagar, Somnath Temple, Dwarka Temple, Nadabet, Modhera Along with Sun Temple, Smritivan, Gir and Devalia, a large number of tourists also visited Dandi Memorial.
More than 13 lakh people visited Dwarka.
More than five and a half lakh tourists enjoyed various attractions in the Kankaria complex in Ahmedabad. More than 13 lakh people visited Dwarka, Gujarat’s most famous pilgrimage and temples.
7.42 lakh tourists came to Ranotsav in 2023-24
Ranotsav, which is considered a favorite of tourists across the country, has started. Cultural programs and various adventure sports activities are also organized for the tourists during the Ranotsav Yatra. Ranotsav 2024-25 will have Adventure Zone (20 different adventure activities like Para motoring, ATV ride etc.), Children’s Activity with Fun/Knowledge Park (10 different activities like Nutrition Awareness Games and Activities, VR Game Zone etc. ) Are included. ,
State’s tourism attractions reach across the world by hosting G-20 meetings
A series of G-20 meetings hosted by India were also held in Gujarat. The State Government successfully hosted the G-20 meetings at world class tourist destinations like Dhordo and Statue of Unity in Kutch and introduced the G-20 country delegates to the rich heritage of the State. The G-20 delegates appreciated this by visiting attractions including Dholavira, Modhera Sun Temple, Ahmedabad’s historical heritage, Gift City and Dandi Cottage. The visit to the ancient cities was a fond memory for him and in his responses he said that these are the heritage of the whole world, which needs to be preserved for the future generations.
