New Delhi, 25 November (Hindustan Reporter). Maharashtra Pradesh Congress President Nana Patole met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge today. He expressed his concerns to Kharge regarding the Maharashtra Assembly elections. On this, Kharge assured him that he would discuss with senior party leaders.
While talking to journalists after meeting the Congress President, Nana Patole rejected the talk of his resignation. He said that neither has he been asked to resign nor has he resigned.
On the results of the assembly elections, Patole said that all the leaders working on the ground believe that the results have come contrary to expectations. Everyone hoped that the results would be in favor of Maha Vikas Aghadi but this has not happened.
Casting doubts on the election results, Patole said that the Congress party won the Nanded Lok Sabha by-election but all its candidates lost in the assemblies falling under this Lok Sabha. How can there be such a big difference? Even on social media, people are saying that they did not vote for this government. We are getting calls from all over the country and state. He says that the result is not correct. This is not good for democracy. It is a matter of great concern for us. For this reason he had come to meet the party president in Delhi today.
He said that he had discussed this issue with the party president. The Speaker listened carefully to their concerns and said that he would discuss the matter with Rahul Gandhi and other senior leaders. After this any further decision will be taken.
