There was a tough competition between Lucknow Supergiants and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the auction for Rishabh Pant. His Sunrisers Hyderabad also bid for Pant. But by the time Rs 20 crore arrived, Hyderabad backed out. Ultimately Pant was bought by Lucknow for Rs 27 crore.
Rishabh Pant has performed very well in his IPL (Indian Premier League) career. Before this he had played for Delhi Capitals in IPL. Bid of Rs 27 crore, after which Delhi backed out.
Pant’s record in IPL has been excellent
Rishabh Pant has scored more than 3,000 runs in his IPL career. His batting average is around 36, which is seen as a good figure. Pant’s strike rate has also been between 145-150, which shows his aggressive batting. Pant performed brilliantly in the 2020 IPL season, scoring 343 runs at an average of 34.5.
He is captaining Delhi Capitals
In the year 2021, Rishabh Pant scored 419 runs in 15 matches and took the team to the playoffs. Pant also performed well in the 2022 season, but Delhi Capitals failed to make the playoffs. Pant took over the captaincy of Delhi Capitals and under his leadership the team achieved good results, although the team could not make it to the playoffs in 2022.
