Anmol Bishnoi: Anmol Bishnoi, brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been arrested in America. Currently he is being kept in a special jail in Iowa. Anmol is wanted in connection with the firing outside actor Salman Khan’s house in April this year and the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui on October 12.
How was Anmol Bishnoi caught?
However, he has not been arrested in the criminal cases for which he was wanted in India. He was arrested last week on charges of entering the US with illegal documents. Anmol has sought asylum in America. For this he has applied through his lawyer.
Anmol is being held in the Pottawattamie County Jail.
According to information given on the website of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Anmol is being kept in the Pottawattamie County Jail in Iowa. Anmol is believed to live in Canada and frequently visits the US. He is the younger brother of Lawrence Bishnoi.
Lawrence is lodged in Sabarmati jail of Ahmedabad, advertising a reward of Rs 10 lakh on Anmol.
He is accused of running a global criminal gang while in jail. Recently, NIA had also declared Anmol as most wanted and had also announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh on him. India has demanded the extradition of Anmol.
America has refused to give a statement
Earlier this week, the US State Department had declined to comment on her extradition case, saying the matter falls under the jurisdiction of the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI.
