Jaipur, 21 November (HS). In the capital Jaipur, on Thursday, on the occasion of Guru Pushya festival, there was an outpouring of faith in various major Shri Ganesh temples across the city. There was a steady flow of devotees in Shri Ganesh temples since early morning. The ritual of worship continued throughout the day. On this occasion, grand religious events were organized in major Ganesh temples.
A long line of devotees was seen at Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple since early morning. Mahant Kailash Sharma told that on the occasion of Guru Pushya festival at 7 am, first worshiped Shri Ganesh Ji Maharaj will offer 151 kg milk, 11 kg curd, 24 kg ghee, 11 kg sugar, honey, kewra water, rose water, kewra perfume, and Anointed with rose perfume. After this, he was anointed with Panchamrit and bathed with Ganga water. 1001 modaks were offered along with recitation of Sahasranama of Lord Ganapati in the temple courtyard from 11 am. After which, at 4 pm, the first revered Ganeshji Maharaj was made to wear new attire and made to sit in the flower bungalow. After which kheer was offered as a special offering to Ganesh Ji Maharaj. After worshiping as per rituals, Raksha Sutra and turmeric prasad for health were distributed to the devotees.

The Pushya Abhishek of the first revered Ganesh Ji Maharaj was performed in the very ancient, right trunk, south facing Shri Canal Ganesh Ji Temple located on Brahmapuri Mount Road.
Temple Yuvacharya Pandit Manav Sharma told that on the occasion of Guru Pushya festival, temple Mahant Jai Sharma, in Abhijeet Muhurta, anointed the first worshiped with Panchamrit with Durva Marjan and made him wear new clothes. After which he performed puja as per the rituals and prayed for the welfare of the devotees. After which, offering of 21 modaks along with Vedic mantras was offered to Shri Ganesh Ji Maharaj, Rigvedic Ganapati Matrika was read and Maha Aarti in the evening was performed with 251 lamps. Sutras for happiness, prosperity and prevention of obstacles were distributed to the devotees who came to visit the temple.
Ganesh Temple located at Chandpol Parkota
Special consecration was also organized in the Ganesh ji temple located in Chandpol Parkota on the occasion of Guru Pushya festival. At 8.30 in the morning, the first revered Ganesh Ji Maharaj was anointed with 101 kg milk and Panchamrit. Pandit Amit Sharma told that the first revered Shri Ganesh ji was anointed to God with milk, curd, honey, Ganga water, Kewra water and saffron water. After which the chola was covered with vermillion. After which Shri Ganpati ji was made to wear new clothes. Modaks were offered to Lord Ganesha along with the mantras of Ganpati Atharvashirsha and Ganpati Ashtottara Namavali. During this event, lumps of turmeric and betel nuts in the form of Lakshmi were distributed to the devotees. Durva was offered to Lord Ganesha after collectively reciting Ganapati Atharvashirsha. A large number of devotees participated in this religious occasion.
In these temples of Jaipur also, the consecration of the first worshiper took place in Pushya Nakshatra.
