This journey will be for the whole night and people will reach Srinagar in the morning.
According to various media reports, New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat train may start in January next year. This train will cover a distance of more than 800 kilometers between Delhi and Srinagar. This journey will be completed in just 13 hours. During this time, travelers will be able to see many beautiful places of the valley.
This train will leave from New Delhi at 7 pm and then travel overnight and reach Srinagar at 8 am. During this time the train can stop at stations like Ambala, Ludhiana, Jammu, Katra. During this time it will also pass through the world’s highest railway bridge built on the Chenab River. The height of this bridge is about 359 meters, which is higher than the Eiffel Tower of Paris. This is the highest railway bridge in the world.
It is believed that this train will not be a chair car, but Vande Bharat Sleeper which will be launched soon. The sleeper version is designed for long distance travellers. Especially for overnight journeys. Passengers will be able to sleep comfortably the whole night and travel in this train. However, Indian Railways has not yet announced it officially, but there is a possibility that it may be announced soon.
