New Jantri: New Jantri prepared scientifically has been announced in the state, the guidelines for the same have been put up on the website https://garvi.gujarat.gov.in for public inspection and suggestions. The field survey work was carried out in phases from April-2023 to November-2023 keeping in mind the scientific aspects on a large scale.

A field survey was conducted for a total of 23,846 value areas and 17,131 villages of rural areas on the basis of development potential of the area by scientifically adopting the existing factors affecting the development potential of land in the urban areas of the State. , District wise teams of technical and administrative staff were formed for field survey, they were given intensive training, briefed about the survey factors and actual land prices were captured.

Further, the prevailing land rates were obtained through inquiries at the local level and such data were examined at the taluka and district level. After due analysis of relevant factors, draft Jantri and Guidelines prepared for district wise separate objective prices for ‘Urban Area’ and ‘Rural Area’, keeping in view necessary modifications, will be open for objections on November 20, 2024.
