Hamas claims Israeli forces killed 112 civilians in 24 hours

During the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, various claims are being made by Mossad and Hamas. In which Hamas claims that the Israeli army has killed 112 civilians of Gaza in the last 24 hours. In this way the total death toll has reached 28,775.

The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says 112 people have been killed in the strip in the past 24 hours. With this, the number of Palestinians killed in the ongoing war has increased to 28,775. The Times of Israel reported that these figures could not be independently confirmed. These figures are of both civilians and Hamas killed in Gaza.

Israel says the figure also includes deaths caused by terrorist groups' own rocket misfires. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) says it has killed nearly 11,000 militants in Gaza on October 7, in addition to killing one terrorist inside Israel.

Mossad chief is going to Cairo

David Barnia, the head of Israel's Mossad spy agency, will visit Cairo this week to discuss the release of hostages from Hamas. America, Qatar and Egypt are also involved in this conversation. Barnia will meet senior leaders of Qatar and Egypt in Cairo to hammer out a proposed ceasefire that would allow the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.

The peace talks were in doubt and there were reports that Egypt would withdraw from the talks after Israeli troops entered the Rafah border, but Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry denied such speculation. US President Joe Biden has said that a six-week ceasefire and the release of hostages has been proposed and is being discussed.

There are intelligence reports that there are differences of opinion among the top leaders of Hamas regarding the ceasefire. Leaders such as Ismail Haniyeh and Khaled Mashael want a temporary ceasefire, while others, including Yahya Simwar and Mohammed Deif, the alleged masterminds of the October 7 massacre in Gaza, want a permanent ceasefire. On the other hand, Israel has also agreed to release the Palestinian prisoners in its jails.
