Forbesganj/Araria, November 20 (HS). Based on secret information, Forbesganj police raided a lodge located near Ali Tola on Alam Tola Road and seized one pistol, two magazines, four live cartridges and three mobile phones from three youths. Has been arrested with. The three arrested youths were thoroughly interrogated by SDPO Mukesh Kumar Saha and Police Station Head Raghavendra Kumar Singh in the premises of Adarsh police station Forbesganj.
After interrogation, SDPO Mukesh Kumar Saha told in a press conference that the names of the three youths arrested with pistol, two magazines and live cartridges from the lodge are Mo Rashid, father Mo Khurshid, resident of Alam Training School Chowk Ward No. 22 Forbesganj and Mo Imtiaz, father Mo Kaiyum. Belai Pothia is said to be a resident of ward number 04 Forbesganj and Mohd Salman’s father Mohd Shahnawaz is said to be a resident of Sakin Alam Tola ward number 22 Forbesganj.
Giving further information, the SDPO said that in the light of the order received from the SP, a special contemporary campaign was conducted in the sub-division area under his leadership against illegal weapons and drugs.
Forbesganj police station incharge Raghavendra Kumar Singh said that secret information was received that a large quantity of illegal weapons were being bought and sold in a lodge near Alam Tola Road, Ali Tola of the city. SDPO said that on the basis of the above information a special raid team was formed. The raiding team raided the said lodge and arrested the three youths with the said illegal weapon. SDPO Mukesh Kumar Saha said that during interrogation, the three youths arrested with illegal weapons have made many big revelations from the purchase of the said pistol to its sale in Forbesganj till now.
In this context, after collecting evidence, a special team is conducting raids for arrest and recovery on the instructions of the SP. SDPO said that the arms smuggling gang has connections with other police station areas as well as the border districts. He further said that an FIR was registered against the three youths arrested with illegal weapons and sent to Araria judicial custody.
