Gorakhpur, November 20 (HS). The one-day Central Working Committee meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad was held in Gorakhpur. The meeting was started by National President Dr. Rajsharan Shahi, National General Secretary Yagyavalkya Shukla and National Organization Minister Ashish Chauhan by offering flowers on the pictures of Maa Saraswati and Swami Vivekananda at the Samvad Bhawan of Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University. Thereafter, the representatives present in the Central Working Committee meeting sang Vande Mataram collectively.
The National Executive Council meeting of ABVP will be held tomorrow on Thursday in Gorakhpur University campus. The Maan Vandana Yatra taken out by ABVP from Maheshwar on the tercentenary year of Punyashloka Ahilyabai Holkar will reach the convention venue via Prayagraj, Ayodhya. Through the yatra, the efforts made by Lokmata for the revival of Indian cultural uniqueness will be made available to the general public. The exhibition to be displayed on the occasion of the national convention will also be inaugurated tomorrow.
In this one-day Central Working Committee meeting, important issues related to education and society were discussed. Also, a total of five proposals to be presented in the 70th National Convention of ABVP were discussed. In this Central Working Committee meeting, a total of five proposals were discussed on topics like quality of education and fee increase in educational institutions, problem of adulterated food items, India’s increasing influence on the international stage, Manipur violence etc. These five proposals will be passed in the national convention between 22-24 November.
National President of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Dr. Rajsharan Shahi said that Gorakhpur is the land of bravery. The warriors of Gorakhpur have made an important contribution to the Indian independence movement. Gorakhpur has a very important contribution from political, spiritual and cultural point of view. Nath Panth has an important contribution in spreading social harmony in the country. Effective efforts are needed to make the Indian education system affordable and accessible. If education is all-inclusive and accessible, then even the most ordinary student of the country will be able to do better. This Central Working Committee meeting of ABVP is going to show the direction for positive change.
