Voters reached two booths in Ramgarh to cast their votes after three and a half hours.

Ramgarh, 20 November (HS). There are two booths in Ramgarh Assembly where the voters had decided to boycott the vote. No voter had come to cast vote in booth number 184 and 185 of Irba village under Kulhi Panchayat of Dulmi block. After talks between the district administration and the villagers, the villagers reached these two booths after three and a half hours to vote.

District administration officials reached among the villagers and assured them of solving their problems. After this assurance the villagers reached the booth and started casting their votes. Deputy Development Commissioner Robin Toppo, who came to talk to the villagers, said that the villagers were demanding to update the land papers. They said that after 1932 till date their land documents have not been corrected. Even today they do not have the register. The villagers have been assured that this problem will be resolved soon. After the elections the problem of this village will be taken as priority.

He said that till 11:00 am, 35 voters had cast their votes at booth number 184. 29 voters have cast their vote at booth number 185. There are queues of voters at both the booths. There is no vote boycott like situation here.
