Washington: Pakistan’s Shahbaz government is keeping a close eye on how America’s newly elected President Donald Trump selects his cabinet. As soon as the names of that cabinet were announced, Pakistan got a shock. Actually, the newly elected party has already decided the name, hence Pakistan has lost sleep.
1. Secretary of State: Senator Marco Rubio has been confirmed for the post. While fully supporting India’s point in the Senate bill on terrorism, he has strongly criticized Pakistan’s silence. So alarm bells have rung in its military base Rawalpindi.
Apart from this, Rubio also introduced a bill in the Senate for India-US defense agreement. He also asked to support India to face the growing assertiveness of China. Pakistan is China’s pet country. Therefore confusion is increasing. The bill requests India to treat Japan, Israel, South Korea and NATO members equally.
2. Defence: Trump is of the opinion that close defense cooperation should be built with India to counter China’s growing assertiveness. China’s pet friend Pakistan is really scared.
3. Maki Waltz: Waltz is likely to be designed for national security. He is a harsh critic of Pakistan. He has told Pakistan in strong words that terrorism cannot be a part of foreign policy. Their viewpoint is similar to that of Delhi. They hold Pakistan responsible for providing money to terrorists.
4. Director of National Intelligence: Tulsi Gabbard: She has converted to Hinduism. He has accepted it willingly. He is a staunch critic of Pakistan’s fanaticism. In 2011, the U.S. acknowledged the Osamabin Laden encounter by Navy SEALs. Condemned the attack on a bus carrying Indian Army soldiers in Pulwama in 2019.
5. CIA Chief John Stecliffe: America’s international intelligence agency which can also get information about how much an important official of an important country sneezed. He is a staunch opponent of China and Iran. They are constantly keeping an eye on both of them. It is no wonder that China’s pet Pakistan sleeps in the open.
6. Overall, Islamabad has been blacklisted by Trump’s cabinet, and has no place in comparison to New Delhi.
