Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: A day before voting for the assembly elections in Maharashtra, cases of cash scams came to light one after the other. Earlier, BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde was accused of distributing money. After this, an officer of Sharad Pawar’s grandson Rohit’s company was caught while distributing money. Another cash scam came to light. Crores of rupees have been recovered from the Innova car of Sanjay Nirupam, the Eknath Shinde Group candidate from Goregaon East Dindoshi Assembly.
The car was confiscated along with crores of rupees.
The recovered Innova car was parked in front of Mantri Park Society. The police seized the car and took it to the police station. There was a sticker of Shinde group leader on the car. Now the police is investigating the entire matter and is trying to find out whose money was recovered from the vehicle and for what purpose the money was kept before the elections.
Vinod Tawde accused of distributing money
Earlier on Tuesday, Vinod Tawde was accused of distributing money. Due to which there was an uproar. Hujan Vikas Aghadi workers have accused Tawde of bringing Rs 5 crore and distributing the money.
Election Commission should investigate the entire matter
However, Vinod Tawde has strongly denied these allegations. He said that the Election Commission should investigate the entire matter, examine the CCTV, only then the truth will come out. He said that a meeting of MLAs of Nalasopara is to be held. Therefore, he had come to this meeting to explain the model code of conduct, method of sealing the voting machine etc.
An officer of Rohit Pawar’s company was caught
An official of Baramati Agro, the company of Sharad Pawar’s grandson Rohit Pawar, was caught distributing money to Mohite. It is being said that Mohit distributed money to attract voters in Satara Karjat Jamkhed Assembly. During which he was caught. Police have also received a list from Mohite. The list had complete information as to how many people have been given money so far and how many people are yet to be given money.
