Ranchi, 20 November (HS). In the second phase of Jharkhand assembly elections, voting has started on Wednesday at 7 am on 38 assembly seats in 12 districts. Voting is taking place at 14,218 booths in the second phase. During this period, concrete and strict arrangements have been made regarding security. State Chief Electoral Officer K Ravikumar said that voting has started on 38 seats from 7 am. He told that there is a crowd of voters at the booths since morning. For security at the polling stations, 585 companies of central paramilitary forces, 60 companies of JAP, besides 30 thousand personnel of district forces and home guards have been deployed.
It is noteworthy that voting for 38 seats in the second phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held from 7 am to 5 pm. A total of 1.23 crore voters will exercise their franchise in this phase. While 528 candidates are in the election fray.
