Lucknow, 20 November (HS). Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has congratulated the people of those areas for the voting taking place in nine assembly seats of the state and has appealed to vote enthusiastically.
Chief Minister Yogi has written on the social media platform ‘X’ that voting is being held today in Mirapur, Ghaziabad, Kundarki, Khair, Karhal, Sisamau, Katehari, Majhwan and Phulpur assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh. There is an appeal to all respected voters to vote to provide more speed and strength to the continuous development journey of Uttar Pradesh. Vote unitedly to bring comprehensive and positive change in the lives of 25 crore people of the state. Remember, first voting – then refreshments….
It is noteworthy that by-elections are being held in nine assembly seats of the state, Meerapur, Kundarki, Ghaziabad, Khair, Karhal, Sisamau, Phulpur, Katehari, Majhwan. Voting has started at seven in the morning.
843 heavy vehicles, 762 light vehicles and 16318 polling personnel have been deployed to complete the election process. 5151 EVM control units, 5171 ballot units and 5524 VVPATs have been prepared for voting. There are a total of 90 candidates in this election.
To conduct this election, the Commission has deployed nine general observers, five police observers and nine expenditure observers. A total of 3718 polling stations have been set up in nine assembly constituencies. There are 1917 polling stations which will continue to be monitored from Lucknow. Adequate paramilitary forces have been deployed to conduct the elections peacefully. Live webcasting has been arranged at 1994 polling stations.
A total of 74 model polling stations, 10 all women managed polling stations, 7 all youth worker polling stations and 6 all disabled managed polling stations have been created for the by-election. The election officer said that apart from the voter photo identity card, 12 other identity cards will be valid for voting. Information about voting percentage will be sent to the media every 2 hours.
