On Tuesday, a girl living in a locality of Orai Kotwali gave an application to the Superintendent of Police, saying that her landlord raped her and looted her jewellery, about which she had complained on November 11, in connection with which, on November 15, the Cobra of Orai Kotwali Constable Anjesh Yadav and constable Ramadhar Yadav posted in the office called for investigation and on the pretext of taking her statement in the office, both the constables took her to a room and while assaulting her, constable Anjesh Yadav and constable Ramadhar Yadav forcibly raped her. She told her grandmother about this incident and reached Orai police station where when she gave a complaint letter, the policemen misbehaved. Not only this, he was beaten up by a female constable. It was also said that no action would be taken against the police. Pressured to reach a compromise.
Taking cognizance of this matter, Superintendent of Police Dr. Durgesh Kumar on Tuesday handed over the investigation of the matter to Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Kumar. He said that the matter is being investigated by the Additional Superintendent of Police. Also, action will be taken on the basis of whatever facts come to light.
