Ghaziabad – Uproar by Hindu Vahini workers angry over Nikah in temple premises

Hindu Vahini workers created a ruckus against the marriage ceremony in the Shaktidham temple complex located in Govindpuri area of ​​Modinagar and stopped the marriage midway. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and somehow pacified the matter. Later the marriage ceremony was performed at home.

The groom had come with a wedding procession from Loni to marry the daughter of a resident of Sudamapuri. Some people made the video viral on social media, calling it communal harmony. After receiving the information, many workers along with Neeraj Sharma of Hindu Yuva Vahini reached the spot. They started creating ruckus.

After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and immediately handled the matter and pacified the rioting workers by assuring them of action. A complaint has also been given to Modinagar police station on behalf of Hindu Yuva Vahini in this matter. Hindu Vahini workers lodged a protest against the information about Nikah being conducted in the temple premises. Seeing the uproar over the Nikah in the temple premises, the Qazi stopped the Nikah midway. Modinagar police station in-charge reached the spot on receiving information about the uproar and calmed down the people who were creating ruckus. After this, the Nikah was arranged at the bride’s house, meanwhile most of the wedding guests returned. Later the Qazi completed the Nikah ceremony at the bride’s house.

The bride’s side says that the Nikah was being conducted in the temple premises only with the permission of the temple committee, in order to give the message of communal harmony. Pure vegetarian food was prepared in the feast. A complaint has been filed on behalf of Neeraj Sharma in Modinagar police station. In this matter, ACP Modinagar Gyan Prakash Rai says that some people had protested against the notice of Nikah in the temple premises. The police made the protesting people understand and calm them down.

ACP said that the contract was given to Manoj Saxena by the temple trust, which allots rooms and Dharamshala located next to the temple premises. Manoj Saxena had allotted a wedding venue to a Muslim family. Manoj Saxena has been detained after registering a case on the basis of Neeraj Sharma’s complaint.
