Chhattisgarh will soon become a model state in ODF Plus: Deputy Chief Minister Sharma

Raipur, 19 November (Hindu). Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma has said that Chhattisgarh state is soon going to become a model state in ODF Plus. Toilet facilities have been provided to 36 lakh families in the state. Whereas 13137 community toilets have been constructed. Shri Sharma was virtually addressing the Sarpanches and public representatives of various districts in a program organized on World Toilet Day from his residence office on Tuesday.

It is noteworthy that, on the occasion of World Toilet Day, various activities including public awareness on the importance of cleanliness and use of toilets are being conducted by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department in the entire state on the theme of Our Toilet, Our Respect from 19th November to 10th December. Is. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma distributed approval letters of individual toilets to 5 beneficiaries and cleanliness kits to 5 Swachhagrahi Didis.

Shri Sharma said that under the Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin, our government is committed to ensure that no family in the rural area is without a toilet.

Principal Secretary Niharika Barik Singh, Mission Director Jayshree Jain also addressed the program.
