On Monday morning, the people of Ward No. 7 blocked the main road and protested strongly against the government and Municipal Committee RS Pura due to the ongoing strike of sanitation workers and piles of filth everywhere and demanded that Efforts should be made to end the strike of sanitation workers as soon as possible or some arrangement should be made to remove the dirt.
During this time, people kept the main road near the vegetable market closed for a long time and raised slogans. The protesting women said that due to the ongoing strike of sanitation workers for the last 15 days, filth has spread everywhere and people are falling victim to diseases. He said that the situation in Ward No. 7 has become such that it has become difficult for people to even step out of their homes and neither the administration nor the local MLA is paying any attention to this.
He said that on one hand, there is a continuous increase in the cases of dengue, on the other hand, the government is completely silent regarding the strike of sanitation workers, due to which the common people are suffering the loss. He said that huge piles of filth have formed from the main road to the streets too. He said that if this problem is not resolved soon, then a big movement will be launched in the coming days, the responsibility of which will be on the Municipal Committee as well as the local administration.
