Lucknow, 18 November (HS). 149 medals were given to the students in the convocation ceremony of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Bhasha University. 61 gold medals were given in this. While the girl students won a total of 95 medals, the number of male students was 54. Girls also got 39 gold medals, while boys got 22. After the initiation program, Honorable Governor Anandiben Patel inaugurated the uploading of everyone’s degrees on Digi Locker.
While presiding over the program, Governor and Chancellor Anandiben Patel expressed happiness over the girls getting the maximum number of medals. He said that education is that which frees us from bondage. He said that working hard is our duty and knowledge is more important than awards, which is always useful. That’s why you keep reading. Throwing light on the history, he said that people from abroad came and studied our technology and made many inventions for themselves.
He told the university that books written in different languages should be translated, so that our youth can be made aware of our rich knowledge and skills. Also, the syllabus should also mention how the scholars have written all this. He also said in his statement that along with the degree recipients, it is also the achievement of the state and the country, because the development of any country is defined by the level of education of its citizens. He also said that the occasion of convocation is an opportunity for you to be proud of your achievements as well as to move forward on the goals set by you for the future. He said that all students should use their acquired knowledge for the benefit of the society.
Chief guest CPET Director General Shishir Sinha was awarded the honorary degree of D.Litt and certificate by the Governor and Chancellor. Shishir Sinha said that it is a matter of great pride for him to participate in the ninth convocation of the university. In his address, he praised the university, teachers and parents and wished them all the best along with the students. He expected all the degree recipients to integrate science and moral values in their lives. He also said that India has the largest youth population due to which our country has been included in the category of a rapidly emerging economy. He called for imagining a future India with emphasis on science and technology. He advised everyone to learn the skills of unlearning along with learning. Yogendra Upadhyay, Minister of Higher Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Rajni Tiwari, Minister of State, Higher Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh registered their presence as special guests.
Giving welcome address at the ceremony, Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Narendra Bahadur Singh said that students are building character under the guidance of the Governor. He also said that the university is progressing progressively. The students of Bhasha University are bringing glory to the name of the university in various fields of the society. The progress report of the university was also presented by him.
