Mumbai: Bhayandar Police has seized a quantity of foreign liquor and fish being distributed in the slums of Deval Nagar area of ​​Bhayandar. In this matter, a case has been registered against the rickshaw puller and political party workers. But, this allegation that this worker belongs to independent candidate Geeta Jain has heated up the political atmosphere. However, his supporters have denied this allegation.

Bhayandar Police received information that liquor and fish would be distributed in connection with the assembly elections in Ganesh Deval Nagar area of ​​Bhayandar-West. According to this, a team of Bhayandar police went to the Gulf coast in Ganesh Deval Nagar area for investigation. Then he looked suspiciously at a rickshaw and when he searched the rickshaw, he found 192 liquor bottles and 4 kg fish in four boxes.

When rickshaw puller Lalji Rajbhar was asked about this, he told the police that he had brought liquor and fish from Mira Road on the instructions of a person named Irfan Pathan. In this case, the police seized liquor and fish in quantity and registered a case against rickshaw pullers Lalji Rajbhar and Irfan Pathan at Bhayandar Police Station under the section of Maharashtra Liquor Prohibition Act. The political atmosphere has heated up after this case.

It is alleged that this amount belonged to the sitting MLA and worker of Geeta Jain, who is currently contesting the election as an independent. However, Geeta Jain’s supporters have made it clear that the accused does not work for Geeta Jain.
