Case registered against tannery operator for cheating Rs 1.5 crore

Kanpur, 16 November (HS). Police registered a case of fraud of Rs 1.5 crore against a tannery operator in Jajmau police station late on Friday night. Police say that a case has been registered and investigation has been started.

Deputy Commissioner of Police East Shravan Kumar Singh said that Jajmau resident Tabrez Alam is a partner in Model Tanners. He has filed a complaint in Jajmau police station alleging that in the year 2023, Zeeshan, a resident of Aligarh, told him that he himself is the director of a slaughter house and does meat export business. Promised more profits in the name of investment in this business.

As per his promise, I sent the goods to the companies. Zeeshan paid. After this, he along with Ghaziabad company director Anup Bisht defrauded him and embezzled approximately Rs 1.56 crore. On this complaint, Jajmau police station in-charge Ajay Prakash Mishra has registered a case against the accused under various sections including fraud and started investigation.
