Patan: Today on Diwali night the earth of North Gujarat shook. In which panic has spread among the people due to earthquake of 4.2 magnitude felt in Patan, Mehsana and Banaskantha districts.
A strong earthquake occurred in Patan at around 10:15 pm today. The intensity of the earthquake was measured at 4.2 on the Richter scale. Whereas the epicenter of this earthquake was recorded 23 km south-east of Patan.
The tremors of this earthquake were felt throughout northern Gujarat. In which people of Harij and Sami taluka of Patan district, Satlasana taluka of Mehsana district and Disa and Palanpur taluka of Banaskantha district felt the earthquake.
Feeling the shock of the sudden earthquake, people ran out of their homes for safety. However, no casualties were reported due to the earthquake.
