Guru Nanak Dev Ji Guruparva, also known as Guru Nanak Prakash Utsav and Guru Nanak Dev Ji Jayanti. Celebrates the birth of Guru Nanak, the first Guru of the Sikhs. The Sangat first reached Valmiki Kunj and chanted Shabd-Kirtan for a long time. Later Prasad was also distributed. Indian Sikh pilgrims reached Pakistan on Thursday
Over 2,550 Indian Sikh pilgrims arrived in Pakistan on Thursday to participate in the 555th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Devji. The devotees were welcomed at the Wagah border by Pakistan Evacuation Trust Property Board (ETPB) Secretary Farid Iqbal, Additional Secretary Saifullah Khokhar and Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (PSGPC) Chairman Ramesh Singh Arora. Arora, who was the minority minister in Maryam Nawaz’s cabinet in Punjab, welcomed the devotees.
