The Home Ministry had already announced this law, which has come into effect from Monday. According to last year's figures, 100,000 workers in Britain worked on care visas with 120,000 dependents. These changes in visa rules have come into effect. The government is preparing to present the new rules in Parliament on Thursday. Care workers acting as sponsors for migrants must now register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The government says it will also crack down on exploitation and abuse of workers in the care sector.
