Jaipur, 14 November (HS). Ruckus has started in Deoli-Uniara after the arrest of Naresh Meena. Meena’s supporters blocked the police vehicles in an attempt to stop them. Tires have also been burnt on the road of Samravata village of Deoli-Uniara. Police have fired tear gas shells to disperse the people. The miscreants also pelted stones lightly at the police. Supporters of Naresh Meena have also blocked the National Highway-116 from Tonk to Sawai Madhopur near Aligarh town. The protesters attacked the journalists who went for coverage here and broke their cameras. After the arrest of Naresh Meena, RAS Association ended the strike at the Secretariat.
Agriculture Minister Kirori Lal Meena reached Samravata village at around 5 pm on Thursday and talked to the people. Supporters of Naresh Meena blocked Kashravata turn near Samravata village. The policemen removed them from there by lathicharge. During this period three youths were also arrested. After this the supporters moved towards Aligarh town and created a jam there. There was a traffic jam for two hours on the National Highway originating from Aligarh town of Tonk. The police kept trying to convince the protesters, but the protesters kept demanding the release of Naresh Meena. Before this, Naresh Meena suddenly arrived at Samravata village at 9.22 am and told the media that he would arrest him. Before this I will talk to people. Naresh Meena held the SP and Collector responsible for the incidents that happened last night. After the arrest of Naresh Meena, the list of his criminal cases has also come out. 23 cases have been registered against Naresh including assault, obstruction in official work, highway jam. His arrest is pending in seven of these. Police raided Samravata village and surrounding areas throughout Wednesday night. So far 60 accused have been arrested. More than 50 villagers and policemen have been injured in this incident.
