On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Dharti Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai inaugurated the two-day Tribal Pride Day and Inter-State Tribal Folk Dance Festival at the Science College Ground in Raipur on Thursday by offering prayers and lighting the lamp at Devguri. Under this state level program, there will be a seminar on various subjects for two days, along with an exhibition of tribal paintings, there will be presentation of captivating cultural programs by 28 tribal dance troupes from 21 states of the country.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai congratulated and wished the people on Tribal Pride Day. On this occasion, the Chief Minister while paying tribute to Lord Birsa Munda along with Martyr Veer Narayan Singh, Shaheed Gend Singh, Gundadhur said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought pride to the tribal community by announcing to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda as Tribal Pride Day. Has increased. For this, he expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister on behalf of 3 crore people of Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Sai said that the grand beginning of Tribal Pride Day in Chhattisgarh has started from Jashpur from 13th November. The Chief Minister said that under PM Janman Yojana, basic facilities are being developed in the villages of special backward tribal communities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Tribal Pride Day tomorrow on 15th November from Jamui, Bihar. He said that Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Utkarsh Abhiyan has been started by the Central Government for the overall development of tribal villages. There is a provision of Rs 80 thousand crore for this. This will lead to development of basic facilities and welfare of the tribal community in 6,691 tribal villages of Chhattisgarh state. At the beginning of the program, people encouraged the artists by making kartal sounds during the attractive marchpast of tribal dance groups from all 21 states.
Tribal Welfare Minister Ramvichar Netam gave the welcome address and said that this event is an opportunity to pay tribute to art, culture, tradition and the great men who sacrificed their lives to protect the country. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Sai, work for the betterment of all sections of the society is being done rapidly.
