Income tax department recovered Rs 25 lakh from the vehicle

Ranchi, 14 November (HS). The Income Tax Department team on Thursday recovered Rs 25 lakh from a vehicle going from Deoghar to Dhanbad. Earlier, the police had also investigated the same vehicle, but the money was not recovered. This case is of Deori mode of Giridih district. Where the Income Tax Department seized Rs 25 lakh hidden in the trunk of a vehicle. However, the police did not find money from that vehicle during the investigation. The Income Tax Department is currently investigating the sources of the money.

The Income Tax Department had received secret information that there was money in a vehicle going from Deoghar towards Dhanbad. After receiving the information, the Income Tax Department collected information about all the routes from Deoghar to Dhanbad from Google Map. After this, Giridih police was informed about the presence of money in the vehicle. On the other hand, QRT of Income Tax Department was instructed to keep an eye on all the roads of Deoghar as per Google Map.

According to the information given by the Income Tax Department and Google Map, the police stopped the vehicle near Deori Mor and checked it and released it as the money was not found. Meanwhile, QRT of Income Tax Department also reached there and stopped the vehicle and investigated. During investigation, no money was found anywhere in the vehicle. After this QRT opened the door of the vehicle. After which Rs 25 lakh kept hidden in Stepney was recovered.
