Bomb threat at Mumbai airport, call to CISF control room

This is not the first time that an airport or flight has been bombed. Such threats have been given on phone many times in the past also. A few days ago, a false threat of a bomb was given at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI).

On Wednesday afternoon, a bomb threat call was received at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport. An unknown caller claimed that there was a plot to blow up the airport. The call was made to the CISF control room. Here the caller mentioned a person named Mohammad, who was going from Mumbai to Azerbaijan with explosives. Following the alert, CISF immediately informed the police, following which a quick search was conducted at the airport.

Threats were made on social media

Actually, on the night of 25-26 October, false information about a bomb at IGI Airport was received through a social media account. Security officials immediately activated standard protocols for airport security, coordinating with local law enforcement to assess the situation. The authorities immediately registered a case vide FIR No. 833/24 under Section 3(1)(d) of the Suppression of Unlawful Acts Against Civil Aviation (SUA SCA) Act 1982 and Section 351(4) of the BNS Act.

After this, Delhi Police has arrested a 25 year old youth. The name of the accused was Shubham Upadhyay. This call was made by Shubham, resident of Rajapuri, Uttam Nagar, educated till 12th and unemployed.
