Maharashtra elections: Assembly elections in Maharashtra are now almost in their last phase. Only five days are left in the campaign and before that Sharad Pawar has played a big masterstroke. Sharad Pawar has included Ajit Pawar’s ally in two seats of Pune and has included a big BJP leader in his party on one seat. Sharad Pawar has played a gamble on the seat where Ajit Pawar and BJP were considering themselves strong. Close associates of Ajit Pawar’s aide Sunil Tatkare and officials of PMC Bank have also joined the party.

Will Mahayuti get a shock?

Sharad Pawar is focusing on Western Maharashtra in the last phase of assembly elections. This time Sharad Pawar’s focus is on meetings, road shows and bringing other leaders into the party. Today Sharad Pawar made many leaders enter the party in Pune and Raigarh. There is a possibility of a setback to the Mahayuti. Former NCP corporators Rekha Tingre and Chandrakant Tingre from Vadgaon Sheri constituency have joined NCP-SP. Apart from this, Dilip Tupe and Anil Tupe have also joined the party. These people are considered to have influence on Hadapsar seat of Pune. Apart from this, Sameer Dhankawade of Dhankawadi has also joined the party.

Rekha Tingre joins Sharad Pawar’s party

Rekha Tingre from Vadgaon Sheri has joined Sharad Pawar’s party. Rekha Tingre joined BJP in 2022, but four months ago she joined Ajit Pawar’s party NCP. Now before the elections he has once again defected. Sharad Pawar brought along Rekha Tingre to defeat Sunil Tingre in Vadgaon Gali. The rivalry between the two is well known.

Dilip Tupe has been the former chairman of the Standing Committee of Pune Municipal Corporation, hence Tupe has a lot of influence in his area. Tupewadi or Tupegam has great influence in Hadapsar. This constituency is very big and Tupe has good influence in this area. In such a situation, Sharad Pawar has tried to weaken the alliance of Ajit Pawar and BJP by taking these leaders along.
