The names of eight railway stations falling under Amethi Lok Sabha seat have been changed. These names have been kept keeping in mind the cultural heritage and heritage of that place. Names of many places have been changed during the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh. Now Amethi's name has also been added to this list. Union Minister and Amethi MP Smriti Irani had demanded to change the names of eight railway stations here, which has been accepted.

In this connection, Union Minister Smriti Irani has written a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah and the Railway Ministry, demanding to change the names of eight railway stations of Amethi, so that the cultural heritage of Amethi can be recognized. Accepting his appeal, permission has been given to change the names of railway stations.

Smriti Irani herself has given this information by posting on X and expressed her happiness. He wrote, 'Heritage as well as development…' I am happy to inform that a decision has been taken to change the names of 8 different railway stations located in Amethi Lok Sabha.

The Union Minister further said, 'This decision will prove useful in preserving the cultural identity and heritage of Amethi and maintaining the originality of the heritage.' Due to the efforts of Smriti Irani, the names of eight railway stations of Amethi have now been changed. He said that this will honor the culture and heritage of Amethi.
The names of these stations were changed
The eight stations in Amethi that have been renamed include Kasimpur Halt, which will now be known as Jess City. The name of Jais railway station is Guru Gorakhnath Dham, the name of Bani railway station is Swami Paramhans, the name of Misrauli railway station is Maa Kalikan Dham.
Akbarganj railway station was named Maa Ahokha Bhavani Dham.
Apart from this, Nihalgarh railway station has been named Maharaja Bijli Pasi, Akbarganj railway station has been named Ma Ahokha Bhavani Dham, Warisganj railway station has been named Amar Shaheed Bhale Sultan and Fursatganj railway station has been named Tapeshwarnath Dham.
