Junagadh: District Collector Anilkumar Ranavasia today inspected the essential facilities available for pilgrims on the Girnar Green Circle route. He also took feedback from the participants and had a motivational conversation with them.
The District Collector inspected the health and water facilities established by the system in Madhi area of Jhinabawa. He obtained necessary information from officers and employees of various departments posted on duty.
The Collector also received information from health workers about the need for adequate quantity of medicines for the pilgrims. He also directed to continue providing necessary health guidance to the pilgrims.
The Collector interacted with the pilgrims and learned about their Parikrama experiences. He also asked to take necessary precautions to make Parikrama plastic free for the protection of forests and wildlife. Also, instead of walking continuously during parikrama, people were asked to take rest in between.
The District Collector said that after inspecting the facilities created by the system on the circuit route, necessary suggestions have been given. Apart from this, the parikrama will become plastic free and necessary verification is being done at the entry points and routes of the parikrama.
Urging the pilgrims to cooperate with the Tantra in keeping the forest clean, the Collector said that the Tantra is trying to give people a pleasant experience of parikrama. For this, the forest department, police and the entire system are working together. This year, the problem of lighting on tap-water horse was also solved and lighting facilities have been increased. 45 tanks for water and 10 temporary dispensaries have been set up on the Parikrama Marg for health services.
Pilgrims who reached Girnar Green Circumstance gave feedback on the experiences of Parikrama
Mr. Maheshbhai, who reached Girnar Green Circumstance from Jamnagar, says that arrangements have been made to ensure that the pilgrims do not face any problem. There is no garbage in the forest, policemen and forest department employees are engaged in security, people are not even allowed to spread filth. Apart from this, food is also being provided to the devotees in Annakshetras. Thus, there are facilities including drinking water, lighting and the pilgrims do not face any problem.
Milan Gore, who visited Girnar Green Circle for the first time from Chaklasi village in Nadiad, says the administration has taken great care of cleanliness, checking to ensure that plastic does not enter the sanctuary area, as plastic Harms wild animals. Therefore, we should support the system by keeping the plastic jungle out.
