Bilaspur, 13 November (HS). Chhattisgarh High Court on Wednesday dismissed five important cases related to public interest. Taking suo motu cognizance of the issue of closure of street lights, cleanliness and absence of doctors from the government hospital across the state including Bilaspur, it was accepted as a PIL. In all these cases, in compliance with the order given by the High Court, affidavits were presented by the state government and officials of the responsible departments. Along with this, the double bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Kumar Sinha gave strict instructions in all the matters and dismissed the petitions.
In fact, the double bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Kumar Sinha has found garbage in the oxygen zone of Vyapar Vihar along with the private practice of doctors of government hospitals in the district, darkness in the roads and streets due to non-installation of street lights, closure of oxygen plant in the district hospital, government school of Turkadih. Had taken suo motu cognizance in current matters. Hearing was going on continuously in all these cases. The system was rectified after the court’s instructions. Satisfied with the presentation of affidavits by the state government and officials of the concerned department and the implementation of the order, all the petitions were dismissed. Along with this, the Chief Justice also instructed the state government to continuously monitor and provide relief to the people. During the hearing, Advocate General Prafulla N Bharat and Deputy Advocate General Shashank Thakur presented the action taken report on behalf of the government. It was told that the action report on the problems mentioned in the petition was presented along with evidence. Satisfied, the court has dismissed all these cases.
