While reviewing the departmental work on Wednesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that all the departments should work together towards making the border district Chamoli a clean and ideal district. He also stressed on taking a pledge to keep all the rivers including Ganga clean.
On Wednesday evening, a meeting of all the district level officers was held in the assembly complex Bharadisain and the departmental work was reviewed. The Chief Minister kept holding marathon meetings one after the other throughout the day. Chief Minister Dhami rested at Bharadisain today itself. During this, he met the local villagers and heard their problems.
During this, the Chief Minister instructed the officials that Chamoli district should be developed as a clean and ideal district. He said that many temples including Badrinath, Hemkund, Gopinath are present in Chamoli district. The country’s first village Mana is also in Chamoli. It is the moral responsibility of all of us to keep this border district clean.
He instructed the officials that all the rivers flowing through Chamoli district should be kept clean. Garbage, garbage and dirty drains going into rivers should be treated. People should be made aware on the river banks.
He said that to ensure that our rivers flow clean and clear from the source to the entire Uttarakhand state, everyone should work together by bringing their work culture to it.
The Chief Minister also instructed the departments to start maintaining cleanliness at their workplaces. Said that special cleanliness and hygiene should be maintained in government guesthouses also. So that the tourists coming from outside take a good message from this Devbhoomi.
The Chief Minister said that women have made a big contribution in the development of Uttarakhand state. Development work should be accelerated with the skills, strength and energy of women. Efforts should be made to increase the contribution of hill states in the GSDP of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the state of Uttarakhand is setting records in many fields today. We all have to take this forward together. During this, the Chief Minister thoroughly reviewed the works conducted by the departments. He directed the road construction agencies to make the roads pothole free and safe. Instructed the police and transport department to regularly check vehicles and remove unfit vehicles from service. So that no accident happens.
The Chief Minister also gave necessary instructions to all line departments including agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry to increase the economy of farmers. Disaster relief work in Jyotirmath was also reviewed in the meeting.
Maithana village is being developed as a modern village. District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari informed the Chief Minister about the innovative works being conducted in the district. The District Magistrate said that Maithana village is being developed as a modern village. The villages of Adibadri region are being linked to mushroom production. Raika Bharadisain is being made a model school.
IG Garhwal KS Naganyal, Superintendent of Police Sarvesh Panwar, Chief Development Officer Nandan Kumar and district level officers of all departments were present in the meeting.
