Public Relations Officer Ankush Mishra said on Wednesday that the life of the mother and child was saved by providing advanced health services in emergency situation to pregnant woman Rani Pateria (wife of Umesh Pateria), a resident of village Khero in Chhatarpur, through the PMShri Air Ambulance facility. He told that Rani Patria was admitted to District Hospital Chhatarpur on Sunday 10 November. The condition of the woman was in high risk category due to “full term pregnancy with previous LSCS”. Cesarean operation was performed by Dr. Nidhi Khare, but after the operation the woman developed the problem of post partum bleeding. The gynecologist performed necessary treatment to stop the bleeding and hysterectomy was performed. The woman was transfused with 4 units of blood and was kept under constant observation.

Seeing the serious condition of the woman during observation, the gynecologist consulted CMHO Dr. R.P. Discussed with Gupta. It was decided by the district hospital team, civil surgeon, gynecologist and CMHO to refer the woman to a higher center. Since the woman was an Ayushman card holder, she was referred to Chirayu Hospital, Bhopal under the Ayushman scheme.

After confirming bed availability at Chirayu Hospital, a request was made on kelsa.io to arrange for an air ambulance. Under the supervision of CMHO and Civil Surgeon, the woman was brought to Khajuraho Airport through 108 ambulance and sent to Bhopal by air ambulance. At Bhopal airport, the woman was taken to Viva Hospital by 108 ambulance, where she was admitted at 7:30 pm. At present, the woman’s condition is stable and normal at Viva Hospital.
