Bihar Sharif 13 November (H.S.). The surveillance department team from Silav police station area of Nalanda district on Wednesday evening arrested a block coordinator officer while taking bribe. The name of the arrested officer is Prashant Kumar, who, according to the surveillance department, was demanding a bribe of Rs 50,000 from Silaw’s Gorma PACS president Aman Kumar.
It is said that Prashant Kumar had demanded money from Aman Kumar to remove 14 fake names. The surveillance department, taking action after receiving the complaint, arrested Prashant Kumar red handed while taking money in Bihar Sharif.
In this regard, DSP Sudhir Kumar said that on the complaint of PACS President, the monitoring department first verified the case and then took this action by registering a case against Prashant Kumar. The arrested BC Prashant Kumar has been taken to Patna for questioning, where further action is underway.
This arrest marks a major step forward on administrative corruption in the district, and the monitoring department has indicated that such actions against corruption will continue in the future.
