Jammu, 13 November (HIST). Army Public School Damana in partnership with CoE Chandigarh organized an impactful two-day capacity building program named “Joyful Mathematics (PRP)”. The program was inaugurated with a ceremonial lamp lighting which aimed to inspire teachers to transform mathematics into a subject that is both accessible and enjoyable. Led by experienced resource persons Charan Singh Lalotra of APS Janglot and Bandana Manhas of Jammu Sanskriti School, the sessions focused on creative teaching methods and technology integration in mathematics instruction.
A diverse group of 34 teachers from reputed CBSE institutions participated who explored new pedagogical approaches to make mathematics more engaging. Through sessions on real-life applications, self-learning materials and use of tools like GeoGebra, the workshop emphasized on innovative techniques that make learning fun and relevant. Manhas also discussed the historical and mathematical significance of concepts like zero and broke down traditional challenges associated with mathematics.
Principal Pushpinder Kaur underlined APS Damana’s commitment to professional development, emphasizing the importance of making mathematics engaging and meaningful. He expressed his appreciation for the resource persons and participants and teachers Surbhi Rajput and Radhika Sharma gave a heartfelt vote of thanks. The workshop was concluded with the national anthem.
