59.13 percent peaceful voting in four constituencies of Hazaribagh district, fate of candidates captured in EVM.

Hazaribagh, 13 November (Hindustan Reporter). Voting for the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections was completed peacefully on Wednesday in Hazaribagh Sadar, Barkagaon, Barhi and Barkatha assembly constituencies. There has been no incident of any kind anywhere. The district administration had made strict arrangements for this. 59.13 percent voting took place in the district. Voting was 59.1 percent in Barkatha, 61.1 percent in Barhi and 57.65 percent in Sadar. After voting, the fate of the candidates is captured in EVMs. The EVM machines were sent to the market committee Bajgriha amid tight security.

It is noteworthy that voting was held on four assembly seats of the district on November 13. The fate of 86 candidates has been sealed in EVMs. 15,50,731 voters of the four assembly constituencies will choose their favorite MLA. Votes were cast at a total of 1812 polling stations. In this, 42578 new voters aged 18 to 19 years cast their votes for the first time. In the first phase of voting, 4,40,297 voters cast their votes at 486 polling stations in Hazaribagh Sadar Assembly seat. 3,35,339 voters exercised their franchise at 400 polling stations in Barhi assembly seat, 3,79,023 voters at 470 polling stations in Barkatha assembly seat and 3,86,072 voters at 456 polling stations in Barkagaon assembly seat. There are 23 candidates in the fray in Sadar assembly seat, 26 in Barkagaon constituency, 17 in Barhi and 20 in Barkatha. 7200 polling personnel were deployed to complete the election work.
