Government should not make Uttarakhand a laboratory regarding UCC: Trivendra Singh Panwar

Haridwar, 12 November (HS). In the Haridwar metropolitan meeting of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD), former central president Trivendra Singh Panwar said that from the provisions in the UCC, it is understood that any non-state person in Uttarakhand can live as a tenant anywhere in Uttarakhand for one year. If he takes it, he will become a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.

Trivendra Singh Panwar said that if UCC has to be implemented then it should be done first in big states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Bihar. If successful there then implement it in Uttarakhand. The government should not make Uttarakhand a laboratory. The government wants to bring UCC to make lakhs of people coming from other states residents here.

Trade Cell’s Central President Sumit Arora and Metropolitan President Gokul Singh Rawat said that membership campaign will be conducted on a large scale across the state. After the Tandav rally, there is new energy in UKD. Sarita Purohit said that the government should issue the notification of municipal elections soon. Central Vice President Jaiprakash Upadhyay, Latafat Hussain, Brijveer Chaudhary, senior leader Ravindra Vashishtha, Central President Trade Cell Sumit Arora, Metropolitan President Gokul Singh Rawat, General Secretary Ravi Jain etc. were present in the meeting.
