To ensure that there is no child marriage in the marriage ceremonies starting from Devuthani Ekadashi, monitoring teams have been formed from village, ward, block level to district level. This team will monitor every wedding event. Information systems have been developed for information on child marriage. Control room has been set up at the district level. Collector Ravindra Kumar Chaudhary has included Gram Panchayat Sarpanch, Secretary, Patwari, teacher, ANM, Anganwadi workers, Matri Sahyogini Samiti members, Shaurya Dal, women members of self-help groups in the monitoring team. In urban areas, the ward councilor will be the head of the monitoring team. This group will make the general public aware of the ill effects of child marriage and motivate them not to marry before the prescribed age. If there is a suspicion of child marriage, the members of the village level monitoring team will check the age documents of the boy or girl concerned and if the age is less, they will make them aware of the seriousness of the crime of child marriage. All service providers will be motivated not to provide services in child marriage events. It is noteworthy that provision for punishment and fine has also been made for those who provide services and assist in child marriage.
