Many updates are coming out every day regarding Champions Trophy 2025. This time ICC has given hosting of Champions Trophy to Pakistan. But the Board of Control for Cricket in India does not want to send the Indian team to Pakistan due to security reasons. In such a situation, ICC has talked about bringing hybrid model in Pakistan. A PTI report claims that if the PCB does not back out of hosting the Champions Trophy, the tournament will be presented on a hybrid model. The Indian team can play all its matches in UAE. The final match can be held in Dubai. ICC has given information about this matter to Pakistan Cricket Board. But PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi has not yet given any reaction on this matter.
If Pakistan refuses…
If Pakistan does not accept the proposal sent by ICC regarding the hybrid model and PCB refuses to host the tournament, then ICC can give the hosting of this tournament to South Africa. However, earlier a PCB source had said that the hybrid model has not been discussed yet and they will seek a clear answer from the ICC on this. It is noteworthy that South Africa has already hosted many ICC tournaments. ODI World Cup 2027 will also be played in South Africa.
