The voting date for Maharashtra Assembly elections is near. The main contest in the elections is between Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi but a statement has created a stir in the politics of Maharashtra and now the question is whether Uddhav Thackeray will once again form an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party. Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) president Prakash Ambedkar has claimed that Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena UBT seems to be clearly aligning with the BJP.

What is the logic behind the claim?
Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) president Prakash Ambedkar, speaking to reporters in Maharashtra's Vashi, said Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena clearly seems to be aligning with the BJP. They should disclose the terms on which they are extending their support. Even when the Waqf Amendment Bill was introduced in Parliament, Uddhav Thackeray's aides were not present in Parliament to oppose it.

Political uproar over checking of Uddhav Thackeray's bag
On the other hand, Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray claimed on Monday that when he reached Yavatmal to campaign for the Maharashtra Assembly elections to be held on November 20, government officials checked his bag. The former Chief Minister asked whether the election officials would also check the belongings of PM Modi and other senior leaders? Thackeray revealed the alleged incident while addressing a public meeting organized in support of Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Sanjay Derkar in Wani, Yavatmal.

He said that when he reached Wani by helicopter, several government officials searched his bag. He also asked party workers and voters to check the pockets and credentials of the officials investigating them. Thackeray said he was not angry with the election officials but said, “You are fulfilling your responsibility and I will fulfill mine.” The way you checked my bag, will you check the bags of Modi and Shah?
