Maharashtra Election News: In the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the grand alliance of BJP, Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar's NCP still maintains suspense regarding the face of the Chief Minister. While issuing a statement on Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has made it clear that Eknath Shinde is still the Chief Minister, but after the results, the three parties involved in the alliance will decide on the new CM.
NDA has not promoted any leader for the post of CM in Maharashtra elections, which may dash the hopes of Eknath Shinde, but is it actually BJP's political strategy to create suspense on the face of the Chief Minister or a political conspiracy?
Due to these reasons, there is suspense on the face of CM!
In 2019, BJP and Shiv Sena (UBT) contested the elections together and won the seats with an overwhelming majority, but after the results, relations between the two parties soured over the post of Chief Minister. After breaking the alliance with BJP, Uddhav Thackeray joined hands with Congress and NCP and became the Chief Minister. To reach a political compromise with Uddhav Thackeray, BJP gave a sharp reply to Shiv Sena by making Eknath Shinde the Chief Minister. Ajit Pawar was given the post of Deputy CM in exchange for dividing NCP into two parts, but he does not want to follow this formula. In such a situation, a strategy has been adopted to maintain suspense on the face of the CM.
Eknath Shinde will not become CM?
Announcing the election manifesto, Amit Shah said that at present our Chief Minister is Eknath Shinde, but the decision on the new Chief Minister will be taken after the elections in the meeting of the three NDA parties – BJP, Shinde's Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar's NCP. BJP has made it clear that Eknath Shinde is not the face of the CM. In such a situation, BJP does not want to make any promise regarding the post of CM before the elections, so that there is no possibility of a U-turn after the elections.
According to political analysts, BJP does not want to upset the votes of the OBC community by making Shinde the CM face. Due to the reservation movement, the issue of Maratha vs OBC and Dhangar vs Tribal is already heated. In such a situation, if a community leader exposes the face of the Chief Minister, there is a fear of others getting angry. That is why BJP has avoided Shinde's name and is trying to keep everyone calm by saying that the CM will be decided after the elections.
