Prime Minister Modi has in fact interacted with several US Presidents. The way they form these relationships is natural. The whole world is praising India's story. The focus on economic policy has indeed become a major shift in India's foreign policy in contemporary times, aiming at pursuing national development in addition to determining national security.

Big countries will have to be self-reliant

Emphasizing on self-reliant India, the Indian External Affairs Minister said, 'We now measure each other not by military capabilities or political power but by technical prowess, economic resilience, human creativity and social welfare. No nation can truly pursue development in a one-size-fits-all manner. Big countries, especially countries like ours, should have some basic self-reliance.

Pointing to the changing opportunities, where the demand for services is increasing and the shortage of people is decreasing, Jaishankar said, 'This is an opportunity for India. A well-educated, skilled and confident Indian generation will have opportunities that are unimaginable. In fact, interest in Indian talent is probably the most frequent topic in my conversations with foreign governments and corporates.
