Air India has taken a big decision regarding the food dispute. The Tata Group-dominated company said Hindus and Sikhs will no longer be served halal food on flights. According to the airline, prebooked meals labeled with the MOML Muslim Meal sticker will be treated as special meals (SPML).

Halal certification will be issued only for certified MOML food. All food items will be halal in Saudi territory. Halal certificate will be issued on Haj flights including Jeddah, Dammam, Riyadh, Madina sectors.
