Bijnor, 11 November (HS). On Monday, lawyers blocked the highway at Bijnor headquarters in protest against the Ghaziabad incident. The lawyers were demanding action against the culprits and investigation into the Ghaziabad incident. Later the lawyers submitted a memorandum to the CO City.
In protest, a crowd of lawyers sat at Jaji intersection and blocked the highway. Lawyers demand that the incident which has spoiled the relations between Bar and Bench in Ghaziabad should be strongly condemned. The guilty judges and policemen should be punished. Along with this, a demand was also made for proper treatment of the injured lawyers and compensation of Rs 10 lakh.
On this occasion, hundreds of people including District Bar Association President Yashpal Singh, General Secretary Vishal Aggarwal, Munesh Kumar Chahal, Ranjit Singh, Javed Saeed, Ambika Singh Rana, Ashish Tomar, Ankit Kumar, Mukesh Chauhan, Pankaj Bishnoi, Gangaram, Rajneesh Kumar, Dev Prakash were present. Lawyers were present.
