New Delhi, 11 November (HS). Mixed signals are being received from the global market today. US markets had closed strongly during the last session. Dow Johns Futures also seems to be trading with gains today. On the contrary, there was continuous selling pressure in the European market during the last session. Bears seem to be dominating the Asian market today.
Encouraged by the victory of Donald Trump, the US market continues to be in a bullish trend. The S&P 500 index closed at 5,997.19 points with a gain of 0.40 per cent during the previous session. Similarly, Nasdaq ended the last session's trading at the level of 19,287.65 points with a rise of 0.09 percent. Dow Johns Futures is currently seen trading at the level of 44,027.10 points with a gain of 0.09 percent.
There was heavy profit booking in the European market during the last session, due to which all the three major indices there closed in the red with a decline. The FTSE index fell 0.85 percent to close at 8,072.39 points. Similarly, CAC index ended the last session's trading at the level of 7,338.67 points with a weakness of 1.18 percent. Apart from this, DAX index closed at the level of 19,215.48 points with a decline of 147.04 points or 0.77 percent.
A decline is also visible in the Asian market today. Out of 9 markets in Asia, only 1 index is trading strongly in the green, while 8 indices are in the red with a decline. The only gift in Asian markets, Nifty is trading at the level of 24,202.50 points with a strength of 0.35 percent.
On the other hand, Nikkei index is trading at 39,445.82 points with a decline of 0.14 percent. Similarly, the Straits Times Index declined by 0.10 percent to reach the level of 3,720.53 points. There has been a big fall in the Hang Seng Index today. At present this index is trading at the level of 20,291.16 points with a weakness of 437.03 points or 2.11 percent. Similarly, Kospi index slipped by 1.17 percent and reached the level of 2,531.12 points. Apart from this, Taiwan Weighted Index fell by 152.06 points or 0.65 percent to the level of 23,401.83 points, Set Composite Index fell by 0.51 percent to the level of 1,457.26 points, Jakarta Composite Index fell by 0.92 percent to the level of 7,220 points and Shanghai Composite Index fell by 0.92 percent to the level of 7,220 points. The index slipped 0.08 percent and traded at 3,449.70 points.
